NikLauncher
A helper that turns a DxO / Nik TIFF edit into an archive JPEG plus a re-editable preset. Open a TIFF with your Nik Collection plugin, edit it, and NikLauncher automatically saves the recipe and a high-quality JPEG — keeping your originals safe.
Download NikLauncher (Setup, v1.0.1)What it does
- Can be used as export application for DXO Photolab, starts the configured Nik Plugin
- On plugin exit extracts the non-destructive DxO recipe as a
.jsonsidecar, so the edit can be reopened later. - Creates a high-quality
.jpg(optional sRGB conversion) preserving the original metadata. - Optionally removes the heavy working TIFF, leaving a tidy JPEG + JSON pair.
- Later you can export again from Photolab, NikLauncher puts together the json sidecar and the new tiff file, launches the Nik Plugin where you find your edit intact.
- From the Nik plugin you can save again and on exit NikLauncher saves the sidecar and creates a new jpeg
- Adds an “Edit with NikLauncher” entry to the right-click menu of TIFF files.
Requirements
- Windows 10 / 11
- DxO Nik Collection (any installed version)

Remember to tick the option "Non-destructive edit" in Nik Plugin.
NikLauncher relies on a reverse-engineered TIFF format and is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. There is no guarantee that produced files will remain usable with future Nik Collection updates.
